Salary: £12.71ph to £13.30ph, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualification: Ideally hold a Level 2 or above in Childcare; unqualified with experience may be considered.
I’m Sophie, Nursery Manager at Newark Nursery with 10 years of experience. Our nursery is a home‑from‑home with warm, welcoming spaces, a large garden with a fort, castle, and digger world. We provide spaces for children to learn, play, and flourish every day.
How you’ll spend your time here:
- You’ll cover for children as and when needed—covering periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps.
- You may support a full day or just morning or afternoon sessions.
- You’ll start most days with a fully formulated plan that may be derailed, requiring pivoting as circumstances call, which is a regular occurrence in childcare.
- Creativity is key: teaching young children involves hands‑on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
- We work within EYFS standards while keeping things fresh and engaging.
What you'll need:
- A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years (unqualified Educators may be considered if they demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm).
- Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
