Hi, I’m Sophie, the Nursery Manager at Newark Nursery. With 10 years of experience in early years education, I began my career as an apprentice and have proudly managed our nursery for the past 6 years. I feel incredibly lucky to lead such a dedicated and passionate team who ensure every child has the opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive in our care. Our nursery is a true home-from-home, with warm, welcoming spaces filled with natural resources that ignite curiosity and inspire a love of learning. Purpose: To give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
How you’ll spend your time here:
- You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children.
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily.
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions.
- Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.
- Delivering high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.
Qualifications:
- An Early Years qualification at Level 2/3
- Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
