Hours: Zero hour contract, casual and flexible working

How you’ll spend your time here

  • You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps.
  • Sometimes you’ll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
  • You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, that will soon get completely derailed though… Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care.
  • Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
  • It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged.
  • Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

  • You’re a Level 2 or above qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you’re looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
  • You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
  • You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

What you’ll need

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment.
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
