Hi, I’m Amy, the Nursery Manager at Shepshed. I’ve proudly been part of the Shepshed team for my entire 18-year childcare career—starting as a Nursery Nurse in the baby room and now, for the past 4 years, having the privilege of leading this incredible team as Manager. Our beautiful building and extensive gardens provide the perfect backdrop for a rich, engaging learning experience. Our children explore inspiring environments including our baking room, cosy story space, a home corner and large construction area. Our newly refurbished baby room offers a calm, cosy, and nurturing space where our caring team follows each baby’s individual routine, creating a home‑from‑home environment right from the start.

How you’ll spend your time here
You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children. Applying the Storal curriculum and our pedagogy principles to our children daily. Whilst seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes and transitions, bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments. You’ll also deliver high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.
We’d love to talk to you if you have the following:
- An Early Years qualification at Level 2/3
- Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
