Hi, I’m Felicity, the Nursery Manager at Sunshine Nursery. I’m proud of this incredible team for 15 years—starting as a casual team member and progressing through a range of roles that have given me a deep understanding of early years care. Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of leading our nursery, and I’m incredibly proud to say we’ve achieved three consecutive Outstanding ratings from Ofsted, thanks to our experienced and long-standing team.
Having lived in this community my whole life, I’m passionate about nurturing strong local ties. We’ve developed meaningful partnerships with local care homes and Community Wardens, bringing wonderful enrichment opportunities for our children and fostering a real sense of community connection.
Our newly refurbished open-plan baby room offers a beautiful, safe, and inspiring space where our youngest children can explore, play, and learn in a way that suits their individual needs.
About the role:
- As a Nursery Practitioner you will be a key part of keeping our children safe, loved and inspired to learn.
- Key activities include:
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily.
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions.
- Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.
About you:
- A true love for child development and care.
- Able and willing to work in a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, your peers and parents.
- High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Must haves:
- Early Years qualification at Level 2/3.
- Experience working with all age groups within Early Years.
