2pm to 5pm, 25 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, Part Time

Salary: Up to £12.21 per hour, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications

Hi, my name is Sara and I am the Nursery Manager at Children 1st Meir Park Nursery.

I have 26 years of experience, starting my time at Meir Park as a Nursery Nurse in the Bobtail room, then progressing to Room Leader, Senior Nursery Nurse, Deputy and now Manager.

We have a solid team at Meir Park and we all work closely together to make it the outstanding nursery that it is. We are all extremely passionate and dedicated about making sure that our children all reach their full potential each and every day. We have a good relationship with all our families, and they know if they have any worries that the door is always open for them.

Your enthusiasm and compassion ensure that those you support feel cared for and proud of the environment they work in.

What you\’ll be doing

As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery setting. Following the cleaning schedule, you will ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, safe and well cared for. Your role will involve managing cleaning materials and supplies, in line with health and safety guidelines, following the latest child protection and health and safety legislation.

You will work closely with the educator team to ensure any issues impacting daily operations are reported and dealt with quickly, effectively and safely.

What you\’ll need

• Experience in a similar role
• Enthusiasm and high standards of cleanliness
• Excellent understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
• Understanding of safeguarding and site security
