Hello, I’m Nicola, the Nursery Manager at Leek.
With over 34 years of experience in early years—progressing from EY practitioner and room leader to nursery manager—I’m proud to lead a professional and dedicated team.
Situated in a small market town, our nursery is a close-knit community where every child and family feels a strong sense of belonging. Our exciting outdoor space encourages exploration and active play, offering endless opportunities for discovery and learning.
We also provide small group learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual needs, supporting them to reach their full potential at their own pace.

About the role
As an Apprentice Early Years Educator you will be a key part of keep our children safe, loved and inspired to learn. Key activities include:
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions
- Bond with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments
About you
- A true love for child development and care
- Able and willing to work in a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, your peers and parents
- High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity
