Hi, I’m Catherine, the Nursery Manager at Hermitage. Every day at Hermitage, we inspire our children to be curious, imaginative, and confident in our nurturing and engaging learning environment. Through play, exploration, and creativity, our children quickly develop a genuine love of learning and a curious mind. Our cosy, home‑from‑home environment provides a safe and secure space where our children feel valued and at ease.
Backed by a team rich in early years experience, we tailor every learning experience to suit each child’s individual journey—supporting their development every step of the way. We are passionate about outdoor learning, and our dedicated Forest School sessions are a highlight—led by our experienced Forest School teacher, these experiences help children connect with nature, build confidence, and develop key life skills.
We take great pride in our close collaboration with families and professionals, including health visitors, area SENCos, and speech and language therapists. This partnership approach ensures each of our child’s unique needs are met and that their transition to school is smooth, supported, and joyful.
Essentials:
- Are 16 or over, have a passion for children and an aptitude for learning
- Minimum requirements to apply for this role are English and Maths GCSE grades 2 or E or above OR Functional Skills Level 1 or above.
- Are able to commit to a full apprenticeship programme.
- Are patient and friendly
