Hello, I’m Katie, the Nursery Manager at Chesterfield. I have been part of the Chesterfield team for over 15 years. Alongside my deputy manager, we bring a wealth of early years knowledge and lead a dedicated, long‑standing team—all committed to providing the best care and learning experiences for our children.
Housed in a beautiful Grade II listed building, our nursery offers a true home‑from‑home atmosphere, where every child is warmly welcomed into a close‑knit and nurturing environment. We place a strong focus on connecting with nature through our outdoor spaces, which include a teepee, vegetable patch, sensory garden, and apple trees—inviting children to explore, discover, and learn throughout all seasons.

- You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children.
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily.
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions.
- Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.
- Delivering high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.
We’d love to talk to you if you have the following
- Early Years qualification at Level 2/3
- Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
