Hi, I’m Sarah, the Nursery Manager at Old Crofts Bank. I’m proud to lead a highly experienced and passionate team—many of whom have been with us for over 10 years and hold advanced qualifications and specialist training. Together, we create a warm, nurturing environment where our children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Our nursery is a true home from home, filled with natural resources that spark curiosity and wonder. Each room is carefully designed to meet the developmental needs of our babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, and our spaces are continually adapted based on the children’s evolving interests. One of our standout features is our beautiful, tranquil garden, which offers endless opportunities for imaginative play, exploration, and calm connection with nature. Indoors and outdoors, our children are supported to learn at their own pace and in ways that suit them best. Mealtimes are a social and meaningful part of the day, with our children enjoying healthy meals in small groups—and even helping with serving, promoting independence and a sense of responsibility.
About the role: As an Apprentice Early Years Educator you will be a key part of keeping our children safe, loved and inspired to learn. Key activities include:
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions
- Bond with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments
Essentials:
- Are 16 or over, have a passion for children and an aptitude for learning
- Minimum requirements to apply for this role are English and Maths GCSE grades 2 or E or above OR Functional Skills Level 1 or above.
- Are able to commit to a full apprenticeship programme.
- Are patient and friendly
