Our nursery is thoughtfully designed to support every stage of development. From the calming Tree Room to the exciting Cottage and Construction areas, our indoor spaces are crafted to spark creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. Outdoors, each age group enjoys their own dedicated area, encouraging exploration in the fresh air. This helps children build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session. Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
Teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course, we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
Ideally, you should hold a Level 2 or above qualification as an Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and be looking for a role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments. You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
You have a natural, nurturing openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK. We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values, and enthusiasm for working within this environment. Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
For you - We get the basics right: enhanced holidays, paid sick pay, extra wellness day off (yearly), and you can access your pay before payday with Pay Captain.
Family matters - Balance starts at home: Childcare Discount + Funding, compassionate leave & enhanced maternity leave, fertility & menopause support, gym discount, free movie tickets.
Development - Investing in your future with micro-learning, financial stability tools & the Storal Support Fund.
Our community - Growing together: Termly inset days, team member app and Storal Awards.
Storal sets the highest of standards when it comes to safeguarding, the welfare of children, and creating a work environment that encourages feedback, discussion, and resilience. We take our role in the safety of children, our families, and our team extremely seriously. As governed by the EYFS, we have a designated safeguarding lead in each setting and all staff (and volunteers) complete thorough compliance checks prior to employment including employment references & DBS.
