Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: up to £33,408 annual salary (depend on Experience)

Our nursery school is a truly special place to learn and play. We’re proud to be the UK’s first yurt-based outdoor nursery, nestled within a two-acre site surrounded by the fields and animals of Sparsholt College. Our children spend much of their time (whatever the weather) exploring the great outdoors; our cosy yurts provide a calm and nurturing space—designed with natural acoustics, a soothing sensory atmosphere, and insulated with sheep’s wool to stay warm and welcoming throughout the winter months. At Farley Sparsholt, we encourage our children to be curious, imaginative, and confident learners in a setting where nature is their classroom. Our days are filled with hands-on experiences that spark curiosity—from bug hunts and woodland adventures to growing our own seasonal vegetables. We believe that outdoor learning inspires not only a love for the natural world but also a lifelong love of learning.

The Team & Environment You’ll have a supportive Nursery Manager, Office Manager and Early Years colleagues to help with the delivery of the Storal curriculum. Our nurseries are warm and nurturing environments that not only support children to be ready for school, but also equip them with all the life skills they need to flourish and succeed.
How you’ll spend your time here Day to day as a Deputy Manager you will be an intrinsic part of the Nurseries success ensuring the setting has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest possible standards of childcare and early years education. You’ll offer solutions where you identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or, creating more stimulating experiences and environments for the children and their educators. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your care are achieved.
We’d love to talk to you if you have the following
- A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
- Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
- A strong knowledge and understanding EYFS framework
- Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together and experienced in providing staff training and support
- Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
