We’re proud to be the UK’s first yurt-based outdoor nursery, nestled within a two-acre site surrounded by the fields and animals of Sparsholt College. Our children spend much of their time (whatever the weather) exploring the great outdoors; our cosy yurts provide a calm and nurturing space—designed with natural acoustics, a soothing sensory atmosphere, and insulated with sheep’s wool to stay warm and welcoming throughout the winter months. At Farley Sparsholt, we encourage our children to be curious, imaginative, and confident learners in a setting where nature is their classroom. Our days are filled with hands-on experiences that spark curiosity—from bug hunts and woodland adventures to growing our own seasonal vegetables. We believe that outdoor learning inspires not only a love for the natural world but also a lifelong love of learning.
About the role: As an Early Years Educator/Practitioner you will be a key part of keeping our children safe, loved and inspired to learn.
Key activities include:
- Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily
- Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions
- Bond with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments
About you:
- A true love for child development and care
- Able and willing to work in a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, your peers and parents
- High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
Must haves:
- Early Years qualification at Level 2/3 or unqualified
- Experience working with all age groups within Early Years
