Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday (08:00–16:30)

We are seeking a proactive and skilled General Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance across our company’s buildings at various locations throughout the UK. This includes providing general building maintenance to self-storage facilities, office complexes, and retail parades. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You will carry out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including:
  • General building repairs – including roofing and cladding
  • Plumbing
  • Joinery
  • Tiling
  • Painting and decorating
  • Carpeting
  • Paving
  • Drainage works
  • Grounds maintenance and site clearance
  • Site pressure washing
  • Furniture assembly
  • Furniture removal

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a building trade or property maintenance role
  • Cladding and roofing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet in-house KPI/SLA timescales
  • Competent in using IT systems to record work undertaken and associated expenditure
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures, including identifying hazards and carrying out point-of-work risk assessments
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively and minimise disruption
