THE ROLE
This is a brand-new role. Storfund doesn’t have an FP&A function yet. Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be the person who brings it to life. It’s a hands-on, expert role. You’ll be doing it. Building the models. Owning the dashboards. Producing the analysis.
On the technical side, you’ll partner with our BI team to ensure the data behind your work is robust and trustworthy. They build and own the data views. You own the analysis and insight on top of them. They’re a strong team, easy to work with, and have already delivered some high-impact projects alongside Finance.
You’ll also work with our Management Accountant, who provides solid support across reporting and operations. This is a role for someone who loves the craft of FP&A and is ready to create something they’re genuinely proud of.
YOUR FIRST BIG PROJECT
You won’t be starting from a blank sheet of paper. We’ve already mapped out what we’re building, and it’s ambitious. We’re about to make finance truly scalable: consolidating all our financial and operational data into a single warehouse, migrating our financial model from fragile Excel logic into SQL running in the warehouse, and building a Power BI reporting layer that gives the business a live, complete picture of performance. You’ll be joining this project from day one, working directly alongside our Lead Data Engineer and BI team to make it happen. Most FP&A professionals spend their careers working within systems built by others. Here, you’ll help design them.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build the foundations. Design and own the models, processes and reporting that underpin how Storfund plans and analyzes performance.
- Turn numbers into insight. Help leadership understand what’s happening in the business and why. No jargon. No fluff. Just clear thinking that leads to better decisions.
- Own the planning cycle. Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. Make it a process people trust and find useful. Not a box-ticking exercise.
- Be part of the big moments. Bring clear, credible analysis to investor and lender conversations that demonstrates how the business works and why it scales.
- Grow with us. As Storfund scales, so does the ambition for this function. You’ll have the chance to help define what comes next.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Deep FP&A expertise, ideally gained in an environment where you’ve had to work through ambiguity, build from scratch and turn analysis into action.
- Strong modelling skills. You build models people use, not ones that gather dust.
- Power BI proficiency. You turn data into dashboards that are clear and intuitive. Not cluttered, not chaotic.
- SQL skills. Enough to write simple queries, explore the data and answer ad hoc questions independently.
- A curious mind. You don’t stop at the number. You want to understand what’s driving it and what it means for the business.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
