We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious New Business Development Manager to fuel growth in our recruitment business – joining on a temp to perm basis. You’ll drive business success by building strong B2B relationships, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, and ensuring client needs are met. With a focus on expanding our customer base, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue and nurturing long-term client partnerships. It’s all about driving the company’s growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential new clients. This is a standalone role, so you will be proactive and hands on with a proven track record in implementing business development strategies, driving sales, and expanding market presence.
Key areas of responsibility:

New business development – develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow the customer base (identify/pursue new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships; manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, ensuring high satisfaction; build a strong sales pipeline through targeted outreach and cold calling; turn client engagement into actionable business opportunities)

Stakeholder relationship management – establish and nurture strong relationships with key new clients, partners and stakeholders, delivering exceptional service to ensure new client satisfaction and retention

Market research and Collaboration – stay informed on industry developments/best practices and conduct market research to identify opportunities and analyse trends and competitors. Track KPIs to evaluate business development effectiveness. Work closely with internal teams to deliver client-focused solutions and marketing support
We’re looking for a standalone, proactive, experienced sales expert to support Stopgap with our business development., To be successful in the role of a New Business Development Manager, you will be/have:

Proven experience in business development or sales within recruitment a must

Strong track record in generating new business and hitting sales targets

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Commercially savvy with a deep understanding of market dynamics

Self-motivation, proactivity, and be results-driven

Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting and reporting

Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Apollo) and Microsoft Office; Sales Navigator experience essential

High ethical standards and alignment with company values
