Stopford are recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join the team to work with highly skilled professionals who are constantly striving to deliver excellence and best practice.

You will be based at our office in Knutsford with the opportunity for hybrid working. There may be occasional travel required to other offices and client offices/sites. This is a full-time permanent position.
Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, the Senior Process Engineer shall be responsible for carrying out process engineering duties including line management responsibilities, proposals, projects and occasional consultancy activities – working within agreed timescales and budgets so that the needs of the client are fully met, together with the business needs of the company. Working for a wide range of clients on projects across the Waste, Renewables, Chemicals, Nuclear and Petrochemical Sectors.
- Undertake process engineering aspects of the project.
- Supervision of other process engineers and control of the budget/manhours/schedule.
- Approve process engineering drawings.
- Have experience in the Petrochemicals, Nuclear, Chemicals, Waste or renewable energy industries.
- Be able to demonstrate process engineering design skills – including developments of PFD’s, Energy & Mass Balance, P&IDs and simulations.
- Experienced in site commissioning.
- Experience in working in multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 including One Drive and Sharepoint with proficient use of Word and Excel.
- Full UK/EEC driving licence.
- Experience of risk assessments and regulations, HAZOP, HAZAN, COMAH, DSEAR, CDM.
- Experience of working on multi-disciplined projects during Concept, FEED & EPC Phases.
- Petrochemical or Oil & Gas experience.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance of at least Security Check level (SC clearance) for this role.
