The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, this is an important role within the team. The successful candidate will oversee procurement and cost estimation for varied display projects, ensuring on-time delivery. Liaising with suppliers while keeping clients informed of likely costs, timeframes and progress.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of estimating, project management, and buying skills. They need the ability to look at a visual, estimate a price quickly ("estimating" rather than "costing"), and understand how to procure it. Key requirements include 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of materials. Experience with specific software is not required, as the company uses Excel and an easy-to-use system called MIE TRAK.
