A brilliant private hospital based in London is looking for an experienced Surgical First Assistant (SFA) to join their outstanding team.

As a Surgical First Assistant you will be a fully qualified practitioner with extensive experience in ENT operations.

Main duties:
  • Preparing the patient for surgery.
  • Confidently handle the tissue and manipulation of organs for access.
  • Use retractors competently under the supervision of the surgeon.
  • Be able to cut deep sutures and ligatures.
  • Assist with wound closure where directed.
  • Apply dressings where required.
Requirements:
  • You must be an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with full NMC/HCPC registration.
  • A Post-graduate qualification as a Surgical First Assistant.
  • At least 6-months of UK experience as a Scrub/SFA.
  • Extensive specialist experience in ENT surgeries.
