- Previous experience working with children and young people is essential
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to thrive
- Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
- The ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- The flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing day-to-day care, support and encouragement
- Creating a safe, stable and welcoming home environment
- Supporting young people’s emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Helping young people achieve their goals and build confidence
- Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals
