Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer based in London, the Global Head of Corporate Communications will lead the strategic direction and execution of all corporate communications, across all its legal entities, ensuring alignment with the company’s ambition, purpose and commercial objectives.
This role shapes the StoneX brand narrative, protects and enhances its corporate reputation, and fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media, investors, partners, and internal teams. The primary goal is to ensure that communication materials favourably transmit the company\’s brand and corporate story.
The successful candidate will be an articulate and strategic communicator with a deep understanding of financial services with a proven track record of managing a global communication team and delivering to shareholders, multi-jurisdictional regulators and clients.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities of the Global Head of Corporate Communications role include but are not limited to:
Corporate Communications Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive global communications strategy, both internally and externally.
Reputation Management: Ensure messaging consistency across all corporate channels, manage reputation and crisis communications.
Mergers and Acquisitions: Develop a Merger and Acquisition (M&A) communication playbook.
Internal Communications: Work collaboratively with relevant senior leadership to define and lead the internal communications efforts to ensure alignment and engagement across all teams worldwide supporting engagement and cultural alignment.
Executive Profiling and Thought Leadership: Develop and manage thought leadership and executive profiling opportunities for the C’ suite and senior leadership team.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory or government bodies, and industry influencers.
Sustainability & ESG Communications: Working closely with HR oversee communications related to the company’s sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Event & Partnership Communications: Support the communications strategy for high-profile brand partnerships, sponsorships, and exclusive events.
Social Media & Digital Communications: work with the brand and digital marketing teams to ensure a consistent brand voice across corporate social media channels.
Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior corporate communications roles, preferably within medium sized (5k-20K employees), listed, global companies.
It is a pre-requisite that the role holder has a proven track record in:
- working with and leading communications teams within regulated financial services environments
- leading both global and local communication
- building relationships with global financial services and broader business media
Desirable:
A current and well-established network of journalists, finfluencers, press or communications officers, in relevant roles and organisations (digital, print media and TV), is highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate would be an innovator and would drive evolution in the delivery and execution of the functional outputs of the role, making full use of new tools and the latest technology to optimize content, drive scalability and improve audience reach and relevance.
