A leading infrastructure investment manager is seeking an Investment Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced investment team that will be enjoying steady deal flow. This role is ideal for someone with both M&A / execution and project finance experience within the energy & infra sectors. Strong modelling skills are non-negotiable.
Role overview
- Origination & Investment Materials: support the identification and assessment of new investment opportunities (with a focus on early-stage renewable energy projects). You will also assist in the preparation of investor materials and internal IC memos.
- Due Diligence & Financial Modelling: work with the wider deal team to build and maintain complex project finance and operational models to assess returns, sensitivities, and risk exposures, as well as support key due diligence workstreams (incl. technical and E&S assessments).
- Deal Execution: support the execution of investment transactions including preparation of investment committee materials, coordination of transaction documentation.
- Post-Acquisition & Asset Management: support post-investment activities including construction monitoring, project development milestones, and asset management.
Requirements
- Required experience: 4+ in an energy or infrastructure focused investment role.
- Project Finance experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical modelling skills are non-negotiable.
- Emerging markets deal experience is highly desirable.
- Buy-side experience is required, with a deal track record.
