The People Team at Stonewater are now seeking a Payroll Advisor – someone to support the Shared Services Manager in all administrative aspects in relation to our outsourced payroll provision and flexible benefits.

As our Payroll Advisor, you will respond to iTrent (HR & Payroll system) queries and flexible benefits queries from colleagues and Managers and prepare various import templates used to send data to our payroll provider, MHR. Taking responsibility for car fleet/car allowance admin, you will manually calculate net pay, in-depth monthly payroll checking and post payroll admin such as auto enrolment letters, joiners and leavers reports to providers, pension, and benefits reports. You will also support flexible benefits windows including holiday trading, cycle to work and childcare vouchers as well as myChoice portal administration.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a positive and pro-active attitude.
  • Have previous HR/payroll experience, iTrent experience is desirable.
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills, able to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable working with figures and spreadsheets including manipulation and basic analysis of data using formulas.
  • Have strong organisational skills, able to manage workloads by prioritising and meeting deadlines
  • Be computer literate with accurate keyboard skills.
  • Be able to problem solve independently and use own initiative.
  • Have an awareness of changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and procedures/policies.
  • Have an appreciation of the risks in respect of sensitive data and an awareness of data protection and accurate logging of data.

Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
