As a Data Business Partner, you will work closely with teams across the business to understand their goals and shape their data and reporting needs. You will translate these into clear requirements and collaborate with our Data DevOps and BI teams to deliver impactful, user-friendly reporting solutions. You will lead the delivery process from initial scoping to rollout and training, ensuring solutions align with business priorities and drive real value. You will empower teams to self-serve where possible, while actively managing and streamlining the reporting estate to keep it relevant and effective. You will promote data-driven decision-making, keep stakeholders informed on progress, and identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business teams to understand goals and translate them into data and reporting requirements.
  • Work with Data DevOps and BI teams to deliver reporting solutions that are impactful and user-friendly.
  • Lead delivery from scoping through rollout and training; ensure alignment with business priorities and value delivery.
  • Empower teams to self-serve where possible and manage the reporting estate to stay relevant and effective.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and keep stakeholders informed on progress.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities across the organisation.

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience in a Data & BI reporting environment, ideally delivering a range of reporting solutions from operational to executive.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
  • Proven track record of developing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive action.
  • Strong understanding of business systems, process analysis, and reporting hierarchies.
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment with a keen eye for data quality, governance, and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills in person, in writing, and in presentations.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead delivery end-to-end.
  • Programme or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector and its regulatory landscape.
