Here at Stonewater, we have the perfect opportunity to join our specialist Damp and Mould team on an initial 6 month FTC. The role is based at home with travel to locations as required and attendance at national meetings. You will report into the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for resolving cases of damp, mould and disrepair, including carrying out inspections (virtual and in person) to diagnose the cause of damp and mould, ordering works, and tracking cases to completion.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Homes and our Partnering Contractors where specialist input is required.
- Track HHSRS actions to ensure our homes are safe.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Be educated to a minimum HNC level or equivalent professional experience/qualification in construction, housing, management or property.
- Knowledge and experience in building pathology and the ability to diagnose causes of damp and mould.
- Proven experience of delivering a maintenance service.
- Good understanding of Decent Homes requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of building components, diagnosis of building defects, building/contract law, building regulations, and housing law.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record all relevant information accurately.
Location and travel
The role will be home based but there will be an expectation to travel to locations and attend national meetings as required. Whilst we are not precious with location, candidates located in Bristol / Gloucester are highly desirable.
