At Stonewater, we believe data is at the heart of great decision-making. We’re on an exciting journey to elevate how we manage, govern, and use data — and we’re looking for a Data Management Manager to lead the way. This pivotal role is ideal for someone who is passionate about driving change, embedding best practice, and building a high-performing data management function.

You’ll be the driving force behind our data governance strategy, building the frameworks, teams, and relationships that unlock the true value of data across the organisation. Your role will be central to improving data quality, consistency, and integrity—building trust in the data that underpins business decisions. You’ll develop and implement frameworks, policies, and standards covering data quality, metadata, business rules, and reference data and work closely with business and IT teams to ensure our data is well-governed, aligned to strategic goals, and effectively used across departments.

A key part of the role will be fostering alignment around KPIs and business definitions, coordinating data stewards, and supporting the adoption of governance tools and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how data is managed at Stonewater and drive real value across the organisation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Deep expertise in Data Governance, with hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Management Information, and CRM systems.
  • A proven track record of using both business acumen and tech-savviness to turn data into real business value.
  • Skilled in blending business and technical consultancy to deliver tailored, impactful data quality solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and growing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of business rules and reference data, with a passion for driving consistency and clarity.
  • Experienced in developing and rolling out strategies for defining, capturing, and managing business rules and reference data effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Conceptual and Logical Data Modelling and how these evolve into robust physical models.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence, inspire, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adept at leading complex projects to successful completion with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Proactive self-starter who spots opportunities and takes action to drive improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with strong presentation abilities.
  • Confident and inspiring leader, capable of guiding both direct and matrixed teams toward shared goals.
  • Collaborative team player who builds positive, trusted relationships across all business areas.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in Information Management and how to apply them across varied business contexts.
  • Experienced in analysing and redesigning business processes to align systems and data effectively.
  • Skilled in people leadership, with a focus on mentoring, developing, and empowering team members.
  • Knowledgeable in the end-to-end data cleansing lifecycle - including parsing, standardising, matching, and consolidating - and able to define clear cleansing strategies.
  • Understands the complexities of Master Data Management (MDM) across both structured and unstructured data sets.

Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
