Stonetech Recruitment are working with a growing engineering manufacturer in Bury St Edmunds to recruit an experienced Quality Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where quality is at the heart of its operations. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet the highest standards through inspection, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
- Inspecting incoming, in-process and returned components to ensure they meet specification.
- Carrying out dimensional inspections using metrology equipment including verniers, micrometers and height gauges.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material certificates and technical documentation.
- Completing First Article Inspections (FAI) and producing detailed inspection reports.
- Maintaining full traceability of quality documentation and certification records.
- Ensuring inspection and measuring equipment is calibrated and compliant.
- Supporting customer audits, supplier visits and certification body assessments.
- Assisting with continuous improvement activities to enhance quality systems and manufacturing processes.
