CNC Turner / CNC Miller – Precision Engineering

Location: Ipswich (Outskirts)

Salary: Up to £38,000 per year (DOE)

Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Stonetech Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing precision engineering company based just outside Ipswich. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced CNC Turner or CNC Miller to support the manufacture of high-precision components for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. This is a long-term, stable opportunity offering ongoing training and development within a skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes or CNC mills
  • Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
  • Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
  • Completing first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Adjusting offsets and resolving machining issues to reduce downtime
  • Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in CNC Turning or CNC Milling (precision engineering background)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work independently

Experience in both milling and turning is beneficial but not essential.
