The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Eye. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner or someone looking to develop their planning career within a busy and fast-paced production environment.

Working closely with the Senior Production Planner and wider operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring production schedules are maintained efficiently, materials are available when required, and customer demands are met on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and monitor production schedules to ensure efficient workflow across the manufacturing operation.
  • Utilise the company's ERP system to manage production plans, maintain stock accuracy, and ensure all data remains up to date.
  • Plan, schedule, release and progress work orders through the production process.
  • Liaise with production, purchasing, stores and other departments to ensure smooth operational performance.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks, delays or shortages and proactively implement solutions.
  • Monitor production progress and communicate any issues that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and system data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and production functions.
  • Deliver excellent service and communication to both internal and external stakeholders.

About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner, Materials Planner, Supply Chain Planner or similar role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
