About the Role
A well-established manufacturing company in Braintree is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, full-time position offering long-term stability, excellent pay, and great company benefits. You will be working in a structural and architectural fabrication environment, contributing to high-quality projects across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of mild steel components (3mm - 40mm thickness)
- Interpreting and working from technical engineering drawings
- Operating fabrication machinery and equipment
- Working to execution class 2 welding standards
- Fabricating bespoke and structural components to specification
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication (preferably in a structural environment)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- NVQ, Diploma, or completed Apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication (essential)
- Familiarity with fabrication machinery and workshop tools
- Knowledge of CAD is advantageous, but not essential
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious approach
