MIG Welder Fabricator

Location: Ongar, Essex

Salary: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Stonetech Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer in Ongar who specialise in the design and manufacture of high-quality agricultural trailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join their friendly and skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a successful company, offering a temporary-to-permanent route for the right candidate.

The Role

  • MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard
  • Fabricating parts from engineering drawings
  • Operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, guillotines and other workshop machinery (experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Assembling and manufacturing agricultural trailer components
  • Carrying out quality checks on completed work
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using fabrication machinery is advantageous
  • Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
