The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join a successful and growing manufacturing business. This is a key position within the Design, Engineering and Projects team, providing technical support across a range of bespoke, high-value projects for customers both in the UK and internationally. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced design team, developing innovative engineering solutions while supporting products from concept through to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings in line with customer requirements, company standards, and project timescales.
  • Create and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles and value-engineering techniques to optimise designs for production.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, projects, purchasing, and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and production-ready.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving and design modifications throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a CAD Technician role.
