A growing, purpose-led construction and property improvement business is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to support its continued expansion across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, people-focused H&S professional who enjoys being out on sites, building relationships with operational teams, and genuinely influencing safety culture. This is not a desk-only compliance role.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of health & safety across a live operational environment delivering residential construction/improvement works, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure strong safety standards while supporting project delivery. The business is well established, growing, and operates within a socially impactful sector focused on improving homes and communities.
The Role
- Supporting and improving H&S performance across multiple live sites
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and safety conversations
- Advising operational teams on best practice and compliance
- Supporting RAMS review and contractor management
- Incident investigation and corrective action management
- Driving behavioural safety and continuous improvement
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors and delivery teams
- Ensuring practical, commercially sensible safety standards
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Proven construction health & safety experience
- Strong knowledge of CDM and general construction site safety
- Experience working with subcontractors/live project environments
- NEBOSH qualification
- Confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
