A growing, purpose-led construction and property improvement business is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to support its continued expansion across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, people-focused H&S professional who enjoys being out on sites, building relationships with operational teams, and genuinely influencing safety culture. This is not a desk-only compliance role.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of health & safety across a live operational environment delivering residential construction/improvement works, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure strong safety standards while supporting project delivery. The business is well established, growing, and operates within a socially impactful sector focused on improving homes and communities.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and improving H&S performance across multiple live sites
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and safety conversations
  • Advising operational teams on best practice and compliance
  • Supporting RAMS review and contractor management
  • Incident investigation and corrective action management
  • Driving behavioural safety and continuous improvement
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors and delivery teams
  • Ensuring practical, commercially sensible safety standards

  • Strong knowledge of CDM and general construction site safety
  • Experience working with subcontractors/live project environments
  • NEBOSH qualification
