Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with global executive leaders in a complex, matrixed organization spanning Europe, the Americas, and Asia. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior executive leaders, helping shape strategy, challenge thinking, and drive meaningful organizational impact. This role provides an opportunity to drive value to the business by directly influencing business performance, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational culture on a global scale. This position requires strong business acumen, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice and continuous improvement. This hybrid role will be reporting to Vice President Human Resources and can be based out of any Stoneridge location in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with global executives to drive business outcomes using a cohesive people strategy and ensuring leadership accountability in a complex matrixed environment.
- Lead on transformational initiatives to shape organizational design, structure and capabilities to meet current & future business demands.
- Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture, fostering open communication, trust, and mutual respect in alignment with our Competency Model.
- Act as a visible and influential HR leader, spearheading employee recognition and driving continuous organizational improvement.
- Use data driven insights to identify opportunities to improve workforce planning including retention, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Knowledgably manage critical employee relations matters like investigations, terminations for cause and conflict resolution while demonstrating effective problem-solving capabilities and respectful negotiation across multiple European locations, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regional requirements.
- Navigate complex European works council and labor union relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, while overseeing multi-country employment frameworks and contracts.
- Provide expertise in Compensation & Benefits across multiple European countries, including active involvement in EU Pay Transparency implementation initiatives and regulatory alignment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including 7+ years as an HRBP supporting global leaders in matrixed, global organizations.
- Experience leading teams within the automotive industry (Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, or similar) especially agile, evolving environments rather than highly structured settings.
- Deep expertise in organizational design and HR processes including change management programs.
- Good knowledge of Compensation & Benefits (multi-country European scope) as well as Labor relations and European employment frameworks (Pay Transparency).
- Strong project management, change management, and HR financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
