We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Yorkshire building consultancy. They deliver expert surveying, architectural, and project management services across sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, heritage, and more.
They're looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (any level) to join their Hull team. This is a great chance to work on a wide variety of projects, from traditional residential and commercial surveys to listed buildings, party wall matters, and measured surveys, all while providing clear, professional advice to clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading building surveys across residential, commercial, and heritage properties
- Assessing property conditions, offering maintenance advice, and preparing cost estimates
- Producing clear, client‑facing reports highlighting defects, recommendations, and legal/regulatory considerations
- Supporting project delivery alongside architects, quantity surveyors, and other team members
- Contributing to projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, leisure, regeneration, and more
- Occasionally acting as a party wall surveyor, providing expert witness services, or handling dilapidations/reinstatement cost work
- Maintaining strong client relationships and professional standards
Who You Are
- RICS‑qualified Chartered Building Surveyor (or equivalent)
- Confident interpreting building regulations and relevant legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with a knack for producing clear reports
- Well‑organised, detail‑focused, and able to manage multiple projects
