I’m currently working on behalf of a leading global real estate consultancy that is looking to appoint a Chartered / Senior Building Surveyor to join its growing Building Consultancy team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious surveyor who wants to work with major investors, landlords and occupiers across a broad range of commercial property instructions, while also developing their technical expertise and client exposure within a high-performing and collaborative team.

The Role

You will be involved in both professional and project-led building surveying work, giving you a varied workload and the chance to take real ownership of client relationships and instructions. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a full range of core Building Surveying services, including:
  • Dilapidations (landlord & tenant)
  • TDD, PPM & RCA
  • Contract Administration & Employer’s Agent roles
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Building pathology, defect analysis and reporting
  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Supporting regional and pan-European instructions where required

About You

This role would suit a commercially minded Building Surveyor who is keen to progress within a well-established consultancy environment. You will ideally have:

  • MRICS qualification
  • Strong experience delivering core commercial Building Surveying services
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong report writing and organisational ability
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing multiple projects
  • Experience working with investor, developer or occupier clients (desirable)
