Facilities Management Assistant (Part Time) Location: Newcastle (office-based with regular travel to managed properties) Hours: Part time,, flexible working considered Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 pro rata + car allowance (pro-rata) Experience: Previous facilities management experience essential About the role Our client, a well-established property management business, is looking for an experienced facilities professional to join its Newcastle team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Senior Regional Facilities Manager, you'll help keep a portfolio of managed properties running smoothly, safely and in line with compliance requirements. This role is ideal for someone with a solid facilities background who wants to keep their skills in use without the demands of a full-time position. You'll bring practical, hands-on knowledge to a supportive team of facilities, surveying and accounts colleagues, and your experience will be genuinely valued. You'll get a good balance of office-based work and time on site, on a schedule that fits around life outside work. What you'll be doing * Supporting the day-to-day running of facilities operations across the region * Carrying out building inspections and health and safety checks, and reporting issues to the Facilities Manager and Surveyor * Logging inspections on the Risk Manager App * Taking monthly utility meter readings where required and keeping records up to date * Monitoring statutory compliance across the portfolio * Acting as a point of contact for tenants and making sure issues are resolved promptly * Liaising with contractors, suppliers and service providers * Attending regular meetings with the Facilities Manager and Surveyor to review ongoing works and risk management What we're looking for * Proven experience in facilities management, property management or a similar role * Sound knowledge of health and safety, risk identification and statutory compliance * Confidence dealing with tenants, contractors and suppliers * A professional, reliable approach and the ability to work independently * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (training on specialist systems is provided) * Discretion when handling confidential information Why apply? * Part-time hours with flexibility, giving you a better work-life balance * A competitive pro rata salary plus car allowance * A role where your experience makes a real difference from day one * Variety, with a mix of office work and site visits * A friendly, supportive team and a well-established business Interested?
