We’re currently working with a well-established and highly regarded property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join their growing Leeds Building Consultancy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who is early in their career and keen to gain exposure to a broad range of professional building surveying services, while being fully supported through their RICS APC and chartership journey.
The Role
As part of a collaborative and experienced team, you’ll be involved in a varied workload across professional and project-based services, with clear progression and development opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out building inspections, condition surveys and producing professional reports
- Assisting with refurbishment and planned maintenance projects
- Supporting contract administration duties across multiple schemes
- Preparing schedules of work and specifications
- Liaising with clients, consultants and contractors
- Supporting senior surveyors on a diverse range of projects
About You
Our client is keen to speak with candidates who are motivated, detail-oriented and looking to build a long-term career within building consultancy. You will ideally have:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Progress with APC
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings when required
- A proactive, team-focused approach with a commitment to continuous learning
