Our Client, a Global Media brand, is looking to hire a Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA Revenue Accountant to help support the Commercial Finance team in a business critical role. The Organisation has gone through huge amounts of growth over the last few years and this represents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate with proven technical abilities.

Duties will include:

  • Reports directly to the Group Revenue Controller.
  • Own the end-to-end revenue accounting process for a c$600M business segment, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close activities.
  • Analyse and record complex revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP, specifically ASC 606.
  • Partner closely with Sales, FP&A and Legal teams to understand contracts and business activity to ensure proper revenue treatment.
  • Perform detailed contract reviews to identify performance obligations, determine transaction price allocation, and assess appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Certify revenue-related balance sheet accounts and provide clear documentation and support.
  • Support external audits and internal controls compliance by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure revenue-related processes and controls comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements; assist in maintaining and testing internal controls and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue accounting operations and improve accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue reports and analytics to support management reporting and financial planning.
  • Maintain and update revenue recognition policies and procedures as needed.
  • Stay current on accounting standards and best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
