Head of In-Direct Tax in London

Our Client, a Global FMCG business, is looking to hire a Qualified CTA, ACA or ACCA Head of In-Direct Tax to support the Group Tax Director in this period of change and growth. The suitable candidate would have a proven track record within In-direct tax and customs whilst also wanting to continue their development and growth in this exciting period for the organisation. Responsibilities for the role include:- Leading a team to manage the Customs and VAT agenda through legislative changes, digitisation requirements and business changes and ensure ongoing compliance Monitoring the impact of Indirect Taxes on balance sheet and income statements and ensuring accurate accounting and regular balance sheet reconciliations. Proactive solutions to reduce the working capital impact of Indirect Taxes, including successful interactions with our business units in supply chain restructurings. Lead indirect tax compliance, including making tax digital requirements, working with external consultants where required to ensure timely and accurate submission of relevant returns in all jurisdictions in which the group does business. Lead ongoing external tax audits of applicable taxes in all relevant jurisdictions. Maintain and enhance the indirect tax compliance and reporting processes within the financial reporting system; troubleshoot tax-related problems within ERP and trade management systems and identify solutions for internal business partners Identify and implement indirect tax planning opportunities and risk mitigation strategies Provide ad hoc analysis/projects as requested by management Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
