Stoneleaf Search is retained to appoint a Director - Asset Management for an institutional real estate platform. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on individual to deliver asset management excellence and take full ownership of driving success across an evolving landmark mixed-use estate.

Our client is an established real estate investment and development platform with a substantial UK portfolio of office-led mixed-use assets. The business combines long-term capital, development capability and active asset management within a highly collaborative structure. This is a lean, entrepreneurial environment where you will work closely with senior leadership and play a central role in shaping asset strategy, leasing performance and long-term value creation across a high-profile estate.

The Role

The Director - Asset Management will lead asset management activity across a strategically important mixed-use estate, driving income growth, leasing performance and value creation across a complex and evolving portfolio. Reporting into senior leadership, the role combines commercial asset management, stakeholder engagement and estate leadership within a highly visible institutional environment. The successful individual will work closely with investment and development colleagues, while leading relationships with occupiers, advisers, public stakeholders and joint venture partners. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys operating with autonomy, visibility and accountability within a lean, commercially driven platform. The position requires strong judgement, creativity and the confidence to challenge constructively in pursuit of performance and long-term value. The role is based from a London office, with frequent presence required on the estate (same day travel).

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading asset management strategy across a landmark mixed-use estate.
  • Driving income growth, leasing performance and capital enhancement initiatives.
  • Identifying and executing value-add opportunities across assets and wider estate strategy.
  • Managing relationships with occupiers, advisers, development partners and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting development and repositioning initiatives alongside internal teams.
  • Providing commercial analysis, appraisals and asset-level business planning.
  • Monitoring occupational and investment market trends relevant to the portfolio.
  • Representing the business externally across industry and stakeholder networks.
  • Maintaining oversight of asset performance, governance and reporting requirements.

The Individual

  • Significant commercial asset management experience, ideally within an institutional investor, developer, major estate or demanding CRE customer environment.
  • Strong office and mixed-use commercial real estate asset management experience.
  • Track record delivering leasing, repositioning and value creation initiatives.
  • Commercially astute, with strong investment judgement and appraisal capability.
  • Credible operating across senior stakeholder groups and external partners.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating within a lean, entrepreneurial and high-performing environment.
  • High levels of drive, ownership and professional standards.
  • Experience connected to destination estates or mobilising newly built/refurbished assets would be advantageous.
