Currently working with a Local Authority in Yorkshire that are seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will investigate statutory nuisance complaints, respond to pollution incidents, and undertake a range of environmental protection duties. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, with part-time applicants also considered.
Key Responsibilities- Investigating statutory nuisance complaints.
- Responding to pollution incidents and environmental protection matters.
- Undertaking site visits, investigations, and enforcement activities where appropriate.
- Providing professional environmental health advice and maintaining accurate case records.
- Qualified Environmental Health Officer or Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner.
- Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
- Previous experience investigating statutory nuisances and environmental protection matters.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
