You’ll bring strong experience in UK public affairs, a clear understanding of Westminster and Whitehall, and the ability to lead client relationships and deliver impactful campaigns.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll shape and execute integrated strategies, combining political insight, stakeholder engagement, and communications to help clients navigate complexity and achieve their objectives. You’ll manage key accounts, lead delivery, and contribute to business growth, while supporting and developing junior team members.
We’re looking for candidates from agency, in‑house, political, or media backgrounds who are ambitious, collaborative, and ready to step into a senior role. Experience and/or working knowledge of the financial services sector would also be desirable.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage multiple client accounts, building strong, trusted relationships and acting as a primary point of contact.
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated campaign strategies across multiple channels.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans, ensuring campaigns meet objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering high‑performing, collaborative project teams.
- Advise clients on media, political, and stakeholder engagement strategies that influence key audiences.
- Contribute insights on industry trends, political developments, and media dynamics to inform client work.
- Identify opportunities for organic growth and contribute to new business initiatives, including joint opportunities across the SHGH Group (e.g. Public First, Robertsbridge).
What We’re Looking For:
- 5‑7 years’ experience in political and/or public affairs, corporate communications, or strategic consultancy roles.
- Experience and/or working knowledge of the financial services sector is desirable.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships.
- Confident media handling skills and experience delivering multi‑channel campaigns.
- Experience and understanding of political and public affairs, including government relations, policy engagement, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and complex accounts.
- Skilled presenter and storyteller, able to communicate strategy clearly to senior clients.
- Commercially minded, with experience contributing to business development and new client acquisition.
- Existing network of political, media, or industry contacts is desirable.

Salary and Benefits:
- Starting salaries range from £50,000 to £60,000, subject to experience.
