Cross Park, our residential care home in Okehampton, is looking for a Maintenance Person to work 25 hours per week. The Maintenance Person performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair duties including preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance for the care home. The nature of the work requires physical effort and problem solving in performing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Repairs
- Painting/decorating
- Plumbing
- Electrical repairs
- Plastering
- Clearing drains
- Test fire alarms and emergency lights
- Some gardening and exterior work
Qualifications
- Good experience of general DIY including basic carpentry, painting and decorating
- Ideally two years' experience in a similar role
