Stonegrove Refrigeration Services is a national industrial and commercial refrigeration service provider. Our field team of experienced engineers supports clients across cold storage, food processing, food distribution, and wider industrial sectors — delivering planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, and commissioning across some of the most technically demanding refrigeration plant in the UK. We are a technically‑led business. Our engineers are supported by experienced field supervisors, a hands‑on management team, and a structured approach to engineer development that is relatively unusual in our industry. We take the long‑term development of our people seriously.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our national field team, based in the Midlands or South East / West Kent area. This is a field‑based role serving a portfolio of industrial and large commercial refrigeration sites.
- Planned preventative maintenance across industrial and heavy commercial refrigeration plant — engine rooms, blast freezers, evaporative condensers, and associated systems
- Reactive breakdown diagnosis and resolution, restoring plant operation with minimum downtime
- Commissioning of refrigeration equipment in accordance with system design and manufacturer requirements
- Accurate field documentation — job sheets, logbooks, service reports — completed at the point of work
- Compliance with all site safety requirements: LOTO/isolation, permit‑to‑work, PPE, PSSR 2000, COMAH, DSEAR, and EN 378
- Professional customer interaction — explaining work undertaken, managing expectations, escalating concerns appropriately
- Identifying additional service requirements, defects, and improvement opportunities and communicating these through the correct channel
- Ability to participate in an on call rota covering out of hours support
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Ideal Background
- 4+ years of field service experience in industrial refrigeration

- Heavy commercial refrigeration engineers with strong fault‑finding capability and the appetite to develop industrial system knowledge
