The Opportunity
As Supplier Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing supplier performance across the Property supply chain, ensuring our contractors deliver safe, high-quality and cost-effective services that support our operational teams and wider estate strategy. Time, cost and quality underpin everything we do in supporting our sites and allowing Operations to focus on our guests while Property delivers the required activity across the estate. To achieve this, we need a high-performing supply chain and your role is to ensure we work in partnership with our suppliers to deliver consistently strong results.
You will work closely with key departments across the business including Construction, FM, Procurement and Operational teams, liaising with our network of contractors to ensure that key performance standards are achieved and that the right levels of service, value and compliance are consistently delivered. As owners of the largest pub estate in the country, it is imperative that this role can take both a strategic and tactical approach to supply chain management, balancing operational priorities with long‑term supplier performance, risk management and commercial value.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and ongoing review of our Property category plan, including planned tender activity across hard services, assets, soft services and professional services. The role will also support supplier onboarding and off‑boarding activity, ensuring suppliers meet our operational, commercial and compliance expectations throughout their lifecycle. The ability to drive value into annual budgets is essential, alongside constructively challenging existing ways of working, supplier recommendations and specifications to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost control and service enhancement.
You will be expected to identify trends, investigate performance concerns and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements across the estate. You will be directly responsible for monitoring, measuring and reporting on supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service standards, using data and insight to evidence performance, support decision‑making and drive accountability. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be critical to success in this role, alongside the confidence to challenge where required and influence positive change across both the supply chain and wider business.

- Act as the escalation point for contractual or significant performance issues with the supply chain.
About You
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships, contractor performance or supply chain activity within a multi‑site or operational environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to challenge costs, identify value opportunities, lead tender activity and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience setting and monitoring supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs and compliance standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience supporting tender processes, supplier onboarding/offboarding and procurement activity.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or performance concerns.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
