As Senior Marketing Manager - Pubs, you will have end-to-end ownership of the Managed Pubs marketing strategy working with Operations Directors, other marketing and sales teams, commercial teams, and other key internal and external agencies and suppliers. Your role will be to create and execute market-leading F&D propositions, RTV, campaigns, activations/promotions, PR, and digital campaigns to drive sales, footfall, volume, dwell time, and repeat visits within Managed Pubs.

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving marketing activity across online and offline channels managing a team of 1.
  • Brand/format brand identity and evolution.
  • Project Management: End-to-end governance, communication, and delivery of market-leading campaigns and tactical projects aligned to the annual Brand Plans.
  • Brand Development: Using consumer trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to inform decision-making and update the Brand DNA documents accordingly.
  • Brand Partnerships: Investigating collaborations between our brand/formats and key suppliers/charities/other brands to increase exposure into new markets and drive brand relevancy.
  • Supplying briefs to the Food and Drink menu development in Managed Pubs, including Pre-Booked Sales packages.
  • Smart category management to ensure we have the relevant range and optimise customer spend.
  • Executing the strategy for moving out of/less reliant on discounting across all formats whilst retaining value for customers and building sales during occasions that under-index on the heatmaps.
  • Revenue Generation via suppliers.
  • Complexity Management: Managing and evolving solutions to reduce complexity across the business.
  • Creating and ensuring execution of the annual campaign & activity calendar to ensure there’s always a compelling reason to visit.
  • 360 Digital Campaigns: Ensuring all marketing activity has a 360 digital marketing approach encompassing websites, emails, and social management of organic social as well as website campaigns and email campaign content.
  • Generating weekly and monthly reports for the Marketing Director to highlight key opportunities and risks within your brand/format.
  • Working closely with the Operations team to deliver all brand/format activity ensuring clear communications and engagement.
  • Channel & Agency Management: Fully optimising the use of multiple marketing channels and agencies to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Ensuring robust KPI management of the key agencies associated with the brand.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing to build a clear career path for each member of your team.
  • Budget Management: Overall accountability for budget will sit with the Head of Marketing. Senior Marketing Managers will be responsible for ensuring all activity is in line with budgets set.

Significant marketing experience preferably within the hospitality sector is required, along with a desirable marketing qualification such as MBA, diploma, or CIM. You should possess strategic thinking in developing formats and brands, be a creative and innovative thinker, calm and agile in a fast-paced environment, and have strong commercial acumen and numerical skills. Digital skills across websites, social, email, and apps are also essential.
