As PR & Communications Executive, you will support the delivery of the company's external PR and internal communications activity, helping to enhance our reputation and engage our people. This role is primarily focused on PR, including managing the press office, drafting press materials and supporting proactive media outreach. You will also contribute to some internal communications, creating engaging content across colleague platforms and campaigns. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with PR experience who is looking to broaden their skillset into internal communications within a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role is based at our Solihull office 2-3 days per week, with regular travel to other locations.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the press office, including handling media enquiries, filming requests and reactive issues
- Draft press releases and media materials across campaigns, investments, openings, charity and company news
- Proactively pitch stories to secure coverage across a range of media
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and external partners
- Coordinate PR activity including press visits, gifted experiences in our venues and stakeholder visits
- Monitor and report on media coverage using tools such as Cision
- Support award entry writing and PR reporting
- Maintain awareness of media activity and potential reputational risks
Internal Communications
- Create engaging content for internal colleague platforms (e.g. Stonegate Central, Viva Engage)
- Draft internal communications including emails and internal news stories
- Adapt tone of voice for different audiences across internal channels
- Work with stakeholders across the business to source and shape content
- Contribute creative ideas to improve colleague engagement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a PR, communications or related role
- Strong writing skills with experience drafting press releases and communications content
- Understanding of media relations and confidence pitching stories
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g. Cision)
- Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
- Confident stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
- Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn across both PR and internal communications
- A creative storyteller with strong attention to detail
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable
- Internal communications experience or interest in developing in this area
- Video filming/editing or content creation skills
- Familiarity with Canva or similar tools
