Slug And Lettuce is looking for a Kitchen Porter to assist our kitchen team. No experience is needed – we will provide all training to help you build the skills you need.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a great eye for detail to keep high standards.
- Be organised and have excellent time‑keeping skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and colleagues.
- General daily cleaning of surfaces and floors in the kitchen.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are kept up to date and signed off when complete.
- Maintain the cleanliness of food storage areas.
- Wash dirty plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
- Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and dispose of it properly.
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment such as cookers and grills.
- Support the chef in basic food preparation (e.g., peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables).
